The Food Services Assistant - Kitchen Hand is a role that boasts no night or weekend work

Pay rate: $22.86 - $25.98 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will be doing (but not limited to):
- Ensure a high level of workplace cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to health regulations and the Food Safety Plan;
- Perform washroom duties, ensuring all dishes, pots/pans etc., are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before use;
- Complete Food Safety documentation as required;
- Complete cleaning tasks as directed by the Head Chef;
- Clean, sanitise and assemble cooking equipment as required;
- Perform cryovac packaging and sealing, ensuring all trays are correctly packed and vacuum sealed as required;
- Assist in the receipt of Goods arriving at the Food Service;
- Remove and dispose of waste adhering to removal and disposal guidelines;
About you:
Essential:
- Understanding of food safety principles and basic hygiene;
- An ability to achieve goals and objectives with minimal supervision;
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills;
Desirable:
- Certificate in Occupational Hygiene;
- Previous experience in a comparable position;
