We are looking for a talented and experienced UI Artist to join our team and help us create the user interface for our upcoming game, Amma: Chronicles of lost stars.
You will be working closely with the Game Design team and the 2D Artists to create, polish, and enrich the interface the players will interact with. You will join a team of experienced 2D and 3D Artists with whom you will be in constant communication to ensure that the UI fits the aesthetics settled by the developers.
Responsibilities:
Develop innovative ways to convey game information to the player.
Create icons, motion graphics, and other elements that maintain the visual direction.
Design, Create and Implement UI screens of various complexity for the optimal user experience.
Collaborate directly with Design, Art, Audio, and Engineering to bring the UI to life.
Work with the internal team and external partners to maintain authentic visual consistency.
Create wireframes for various UI flows.
Export assets into the game engine to review in context.
Contribute and foster a positive, collaborative, and creative studio culture.
What we’re looking for
3+ years working in a UI Art role or capacity for an interactive product
Knowledge of the latest tools and capabilities of those tools - Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, etc.
An understanding of exporting and creating assets needed for implementation
Eager to learn and step outside of your comfort zone
Can communicate art across different non-art disciplines
A fundamental understanding of interactions and transition
Can work with other artists and designers to collaborate on the same feature or system.
Can give responsibly accurate estimations of work length or can work with production to produce estimations
Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative.
Nice to have skills
Experience with Unreal Engine and designing and/or building 3D graphics
Unreal Motion Graphics UI Designer experience
Experience with building materials in Unreal Engine
