Role & Responsibilities
- Develop PBL sourcing strategy and conduct supplier base management to match with PBL commodity strategy& PBL supplier footprint.
- Supplier development: collaborate with strategic suppliers to improve their capabilities and competitiveness in the areas of cost, quality, time and technology.
- Supplier performance management: establish a performance improvement process, conduct regular reviews and create tools to help monitor and grow supplier performance
- Perform cost modelling of key suppliers, challenge supplier costing based on financial cost modelling
- Procurement project management by coordinating the resource between TE internal team (procurement and other functions) and external suppliers, driving procurement activities globally to support outsourcing project transformation and different phases of NPI projects with external suppliers in PBL mode
- Drive supplier activities to meet TE compliance requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, low-Hal, green energy, supplier social responsibilities, etc.
- Lead the team to drive the attainment of relevant procurement KPI’s, incl. project management and supplier compliance requirements.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor degree in Economics or Business Administration or equivalent
- 10+ years of professional experience in a similar position in strategic sourcing, relevant experience in outsourcing business (PBL/JDA/ODM/OEM) in a production company (industrial environment) is needed
- Strong commercial background, very good understanding to business T&C and strong contract negotiation skills
- Very familiar with procurement process, especially for supplier development and supplier performance management.
- Financial acumen and previous expertise in cost modelling
- Expertise in supply chain is a plus
- Sourcing experience for relevant products and business (Mechanical, machining, outsourcing, subcontracting) is a plus
- Ability to travel (up to 25%)
- Knowledge of regional and global supplier base
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
- Fluent English at negotiation level
